PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing water-absorbing polyurethane foam suppressing discoloration and easily producing the water-absorbing polyurethane foam with excellent water-absorbing property. SOLUTION: The water-absorbing polyurethane foam is produced by reacting a raw material comprising polyisocyanates, polyesterpolyols, polyoxyethylene compounds as a hydrophilicity imparting agent, a catalyst and a foaming agent. A prepolymer having isocyanate groups on the ends obtained by reacting aliphatic or alicyclic polyisocyanates as polyisocyanates with the polyesterpolyols is used. The amount of formulation of the polyoxyethylene compounds is 1-10 pts. by mass per 100 pts. by mass of the sum of the polyesterpolyols and polyoxyethylene compounds. The preferable molar ratio of the aliphatic or alicyclic polyisocyanates and the polyesterpolyols forming the prepolymer is 3:1 to 100:1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
