摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion furnace capable of stably burning primary combustion exhaust gas in a secondary combustion furnace even though the generation amount and components of the primary combustion gas are variable. SOLUTION: A combustible gas supply pipe 4 is connected with a furnace main body 1 having a combustion chamber in its internal space, at an axial upstream side and an exhaust pipe 3 is connected at a downstream side, and nozzles 5, 6 are connected with the furnace main body 1 at a position between the combustible gas supply pipe 4 and the exhaust pipe 3 in the axial direction to generate swirl flow around the axis by jetting one of air, exhaust gas, oxygen and oxygen-containing mixture gas composed of arbitrary combination of air, exhaust gas and oxygen, into the combustion chamber in the tangent direction. The nozzle has the upstream-side nozzle 5 and the downstream-side nozzle 6 generating the swirl flow in the same direction, and the upstream-side nozzle 5 has an average swirling diameter d<SB>1</SB>smaller than an average diameter d<SB>2</SB>of the downstream-side nozzle 6.
