PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive lightweight heat transfer tube of high performance for a heat exchanger by increasing a heat transfer area of the heat transfer tube without joining another member. SOLUTION: This heat transfer tube for heat exchange, exchanging the heat with fluid flowing in the tube while applying a tube wall of a tube body as the heat transfer face, has a heat transfer tube main body 10 composed of a flat tubular body, and a groove is formed around a tube wall inner face of the heat transfer tube main body in a state of alternately forming recessed and projecting portions 11, 12 in the axial direction.
