PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trochoid pump capable of highly accurately and easily performing positioning of a cover with respect to a casing, reducing dimensional control when a gap in the height direction of a trochoid storing recess is set, and improving productivity. SOLUTION: A projection 21 formed on an outer peripheral edge of a back surface of the cover 20 is fitted into a small diameter part 14 formed in an end par in an opening side of the casing 10, from outside. The cover 20 is fastened to the casing 10 by a screw 61, and a mating surface of the cover 20 is made closely contact with an end surface 18 of the casing 10. An opening of the casing 10 is closed by the cover 20. Cover positioning is performed by making an inner peripheral surface 22 of the projection 21 abut on a cover engagement surface 17 which is an outer peripheral surface of the small diameter part 14, and set pump performance is obtained.
