PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently enhance flexural buckling rigidity of a box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member. SOLUTION: In this buckling reinforcing structure of the box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member, the box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member 33 having the plate thickness of 0.4 mm to 1.6 mm is constituted by forming a corner part reinforcing part 34 of a corner part 26 for connecting the respective sides 25 and the mutual adjacent sides by bending and forming a thin steel plate in a box-shaped cross-sectional shape. In the box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member 33, an external shape width dimension (b) of the box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member 33 is set so as to satisfy the following expression (1). Among the respective corner part reinforcing parts 34, at least one corner part reinforcing part 34 is formed as a corner part reinforcing part of setting a width dimension D in the parallel direction to the side connected to this part to a dimension exceeding two times as thick as the plate thickness (t) of the thin plate member, and to a dimension of 1/3 or less of a width dimension (b) of two sides connected in the corner part, or a dimension of 1/3 or less of the width dimension (b) of any shorter side among the two sides. The expression (1) is b>740t/(√F). Here, F : design reference strength (280 N/mm<SP>2</SP>), and t : a plate thickness dimension (mm) of the box-shaped cross-sectional thin plate member.
