PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage conveyor apparatus formed in a simple structure, saved in space, and suitable for treating foods by heating, drying, and cooling. SOLUTION: Guide rollers 42 on a pallet 40 roll on a guide rail and are driven by an endless chain 30 through a shaft 44 for traveling. When the pallet 40 reaches near the end of the guide rail, the guide roller 42 on the rear side is held between the claws 54 and 54 of a stabilizer 50 rotating in synchronism with the sprocket 20 around which the endless chain 30 is wrapped, and the guide roller 42 on the forward side rolls abutting on the outer peripheral surface of a circular guide rail 18. Accordingly, the pallet 40 can be transferred from the guide rail to the guide rail on its upper side while maintaining a horizontal attitude and returned for traveling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
