PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a passenger conveyor capable of accurately detecting a risk at a triangular part by sufficiently securing an interval between a triangular protective plate and a moving handrail. SOLUTION: The triangular protective plate 6 is installed on the anti-moving handrail side face of a medium 8 displaceably installed on the horizontal ceiling part 2 of a building or on the external part 3 of an adjacent passenger conveyor. Accordingly, the interval between the triangular protective plate 6 and the moving handrail can be sufficiently secured.
