<p>The invention relates to processes for the preparation of a polymorphic form of ritonavir. More particularly, it relates to the preparation of a stable polymorphic Form I of ritonavir. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions that include the stable Form I of ritonavir and use of the compositions for treatment of HIV infections in combination with other antiretro viral agents.</p>
