The universal colour spray gun (1) comprises a colour spray gun shaft (2) and a colour spray gun head (3) with air and colour exit nozzles (4, 5) that are detachably connectable. There is a drawn colour channel (6) located in the colour spray gun head and joined via two closeable connection supports (7, 8). One of the connection supports (7) is for a colour supply unit with colour pipe (21) or a control unit for the colour supply whilst the other connection support (8) has a colour pot (20) that is linked to a switch controlled (12) air supply with air being transferable from the colour spray gun shaft to the colour spray gun head. There is a valve seat (10) located behind the connection support (8) in the colour channel in the direction of the colour spray gun shaft.
