An optical fiber cable with an improved waterproof structure is provided to reduce the outer diameter and weight of the optical fiber cable by minimizing the volume of a waterproof unit, which is applied on a waterproof layer. An optical fiber cable includes an optical fiber unit(10), a tube(20), and a waterproof layer(30). The optical fiber unit comprises at least one optical fiber. The tube encloses the optical fiber unit. The waterproof layer encloses the tube and includes at least one waterproof yarn, which has a thickness greater than 1000 denier and a swelling capacity greater than 10g/g. No separate waterproof unit is filled in the tube. The absorption capacity and the absorption rate of the waterproof yarn are greater than 40g/g and less than 10s, respectively.
