The present invention relates to a plasticizer for biodegradable resin, which contains a compound represented by the following formula (1):
wherein at least one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid selected from an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid and an acetylated aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, and the remainder(s) is an acetyl group, a biodegradable resin composition containing biodegradable resin and the plasticizer.
