The system has components (5, 7, 9, 11) e.g. sensor components connected with one another by an Ethernet-network, where the components have reading units to read data from total frames by a total frame protocol, and to read the total frames from a data portion of Ethernet medium access control frames, respectively. An embedding unit embeds the total frames in the portion, and a transmission unit transmits the control frames via the network. An insertion unit inserts an identifier in the control frames to specify whether the portion contains the total frames to process field bus protocol. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for data transmission in system comprising components (2) an integrated component for a component in a system (3) a component for a system.
