<p>A support device with a mechanical connection for connecting several cables is provided to reduce damage of a transition region and wearing of a conventional support device. A support device with a mechanical connection for connecting several cables includes at least two cables, a cable casing(13), a web, and a connection device. The at least two cables are formed of a plurality of strands(12). The cable casing connects the cables in a longitudinal direction of a support device. The web is formed between the two cables.
