A METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICAL LAMINATE FILM

A method for producing a laminated optical film is provided to enhance optical property of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel by maintaining an SN(Signal to Noise) ratio of a luminance signal from a defective portion of the laminated optical film. A polarization film is coupled with a phase difference film(11) to form a laminated optical film. The phase difference film of a constant width is transferred in the longitudinal direction and a pair of polarizers are arranged in parallel to both sides of the phase difference film. An optical compensation film(24) of a birefringence property is arranged between the polarizer and the phase difference film. Lights from first and second polarizers are received to detect a defect from a luminance signal. Then the phase difference film is coupled with the polarization film and the defective portion is removed from the phase difference film.
