A golf putting stroke training aid comprises an elongate body with a front surface 28, a rear surface 18, a top surface 20 and a bottom surface. The rear surface 18 is substantially planar and attachable to a striking face of a putter head. The front surface 28 is opposite the rear surface and arranged for striking a golf ball. The top surface includes a marking 26 of the sweet spot. The front surface has a first impact surface 30 arranged at the sweet spot and at least one further impact surface 16,32, each impact surface being arranged radially from a point lying on an axis 38, the axis 38 being perpendicular to the rear surface and intersecting the sweet spot 26 and the further impact surface(s) 16,32 being radially separated from the first impact surface 30 by an angle of more than 0{ and less than 90{. The aid is made of a material such that if a golf ball is struck at the sweet spot a characteristic sound recognised by golfers is heard. |
