A method for automatically recognizing geometric shapes in a virtual 3D(Dimensional) coordinate system, and a 3D CAD(Computer-Aided Design) system and a 3D CAD program thereof are provided to facilitate CAD working by facilitating selection of the geometric shapes forming a 3D model in the virtual 3D coordinate system. A main geometric information extractor(11) extracts main geometric information from the geometric shape selected as an application target. A main geometric condition extractor(12) extracts an applied geometric condition from the main geometric information. An automatic recognizer(13) automatically recognizes the geometric shape satisfying the geometric condition of the selected geometric shape. A sub geometric information extractor(14) extracts sub geometric information from the additionally selected geometric shape in case that the geometric shape is additionally selected as the application target. A sub geometric condition extractor(15) extracts the applied geometric condition from the main and sub geometric information.
