A method and a device for providing and using traffic information are provided to let a driver reach the destination within a short time by using estimated traffic information of the road and to effectively use road resources by properly dispersing the traffic. In a method for providing and using traffic information by a wireless signal, message segments form and transmit a continuous message sequence by wireless. At least one of the message segments has components(300,301) including information assigning a set of plural road sections to one integrated section. The component includes identification information about the assigned integrated section, identification information about sections included in the integrated section, and explanation information about the integrated section.
