A portable image reproducing apparatus is provided to allow a user to watch the current operation state thereof, an image, image information, and so on even at a long distance from a main displayer by adding an extra displayer to the displayer. A first displayer(112) is fixed to a main body, wherein the first displayer(112) outputs image data recorded on a disc. A second displayer(114) is detachable from the main body, wherein the second displayer(114) outputs image data recorded on the disc. A decoder(106) decodes data recorded on the disc. A CPU(102) controls the decoder to transmit image data from the decoded data to the first displayer(112) or the second displayer(114). The second displayer(114) is inserted into a groove of the main body.
