<p>The liftgate has an upper gate (3) whose top is pivotally connectable with the vehicle, and a lower gate (4) whose bottom is pivotally and releasably connectable with the vehicle. The bottom of the upper gate, is releasably connectable with the top of the lower gate.</p>
