<p>An optical fiber cutting apparatus capable of cutting the glass fiber portion of an optical fiber in a short time without relying upon a working environment, comprising a fixing member fixing the glass fiber portion of the optical fiber, a blade member giving damage to the glass fiber portion fixed by the fixing member, an elastic member moving the blade member, and a holding member holding the elastic member in an elastically deformed state. Also, the optical fiber cutting apparatus comprises a fixing member fixing the glass fiber portion of an optical connector, the blade member giving damage to the glass fiber portion fixed by the fixing member, and a holder fixing part fixing a holder holding the optical fiber at the protective cover portion thereof. The holder fixing pat comprises a first holder fixing member fixing the holder by energizing in a direction parallel with the moving direction of the blade member.</p> |
