A radiographic apparatus and a radiation defection signal processing method are provided to reduce complexity of the structure by not requiring a backlight. In a radiographic apparatus, an irradiation device irradiates radiation toward a subject. A radiation detecting device detects the radiation penetrating the subject. A lag compensating device(9a) performs lag compensation for a time delayed portion by removing the time delayed portion included in a radiation detecting signal from the radiation detecting signal. A non-irradiation signal obtaining device(9b) obtains a plurality of radiation detecting signals during non-irradiation before the irradiation of radiation in picking up an image. A lag image pickup device(9c) picks up a lag image based on the radiation detecting signal obtained from the non-irradiation signal obtaining device(9b).
