A method and an apparatus for notifying location information of a vehicle are provided to enable passengers repeatedly traveling within a certain area to previously receive exact arrival time of the vehicle by using a portable phone, thereby removing the necessity that the passengers has to wait for a long time to get into the vehicle. A method for notifying location information of a vehicle comprises the following steps of: constructing a map information database(401); receiving predetermined location of a map image and constructing a notification information database(402); and reading a portable phone number corresponding to longitude and latitude stored in the notification information database if longitude and latitude corresponding to current location of a predetermined vehicle corresponds to a certain range of the longitude and latitude stored in the notification information database, and transmitting a preset vehicle location notifying message to a portable phone having the portable phone number(405,406).
