Modular platform suitable for use as a temporary car park

A modular car park comprises a plurality of prefabricated deck modules 12, each having a rectangular deck surface laid out to include support areas separated by an aisle, the modules 12 being attached together to form a platform and held off the ground by a support 14. Each module 12 is the width of a parking bay and long enough to accommodate a parking bay 27a, 27b at each end and an aisle two lanes wide running across the module. The modules 12 may be connected adjacent to each other along their longest sides. Access ramps 29 for vehicles may be provided adjacent the aisle of an end module, access stairs 31 for pedestrians may be provided. Preferably the support is in the form of legs, each having a foot, where the foot is able to pivot and/or move laterally with respect to the leg, furthermore, the surface of the foot may be curved.
