The socket has a plastic socket part (1), and a metal ring (2) that is designed in an elastic manner. The metal ring is fixed at the plastic socket part by supports (24, 25) that are formed at the metal ring. The supports are designed in such a manner that a force fit exists between the supports and the plastic socket part. The supports extend perpendicular to a surface of the metal ring. An independent claim is also included for a lamp with a lamp socket.
