A drawer type refrigerator is provided to automatically open a container cover of a storage container in response to withdrawing of a drawer-like door, and compress the storage container by a compression protrusion and a supporting protrusion, thereby improving sealing effect of the storage container. A drawer type refrigerator includes a storage container(30) mounted in a storage space of a main body(10) and formed in a box shape of which a top part is opened for inserting or withdrawing of foodstuff. The storage container is alternatively withdrawn by a door(20), which forms a front surface of the refrigerator and closes a front surface part of the main body as being mounted like a drawer. A container cover(40) is rotatively supported at a side of an upper part of the storage container by a cover hinge(41), and closes to opened top part of the storage container. An opening/closing element such as a supporting wire(46) is connected between the container cover and the main body, and makes the container cover opened by tension as the door is withdrawn. The container cover is formed with supporting protrusions(47) and the main body is formed with compression protrusions(48), so that container cover seals the storage container by the contact between the supporting protrusions and the compression protrusions, which are positioned complementarily. |
