[Class 7 (iii).] Liquid fuel passes through a nozzle 12 to the spraying point 13 and an emulsion is formed with air entering at 3 and passing through holes 10 in a tube 8. The mixture passes through holes 16 and a passage 5 to the induction pipe. Exhaust gases are supplied through a pipe 15 to the passage 5 to assist the vapourization of the fuel. A slow - running nozzle which opens at the edge 71 of the throttle valve is provided and the mixture is heated by exhaust gases which pass through holes 17 in a continuation of the nozzle 12. An expansion chamber is provided for the exhaust gases before they enter the passage 15. The induction pipe may be heated. |
