The device has a light transmitter (15) transmitting a light beam in a direction of a measuring volume. Transmitter optics is arranged for multiplexing the light beam along an optical transmitter axis, where a portion of the light beam is detectable by a light receiver. An arrangement of the transmitter axis is adjustable by pivoting a support device (35) at which the light transmitter and the transmitter optics are fastened. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a particle concentration measuring device.
