A method for manufacturing orthodontic bracket and wire by means of the coating with zirconium nitride is provided to increase the critical orthodontic effect by coating the surface of orthodontic bracket and wire with the ZrN-film and by achieving the excellent corrosion and wear resistance and the good suitableness to a living body. The method for manufacturing orthodontic bracket and wire by means of the coating with zirconium nitride(ZrN) is carried out in such a manner that the surface of the orthodontic bracket and wire is coated with a ZrN film by using an ion-plating method, so that the surface characteristics of the orthodontic members with the excellent corrosion and wear resistance and the good suitableness to the living body are obtained and that the critical orthodontic effect of the orthodontic members is increased.
