A safety device for a convertible car is provided to prevent heads of passengers from directly contacting with a ground and excellently reducing an injury degree of passengers by covering the heads of passengers with an air mat. In a safety device for a convertible car, an air mat(20) addedly installing a gas generator at a vacant room of a cross member(4) is embodied in a folded condition. A guide bar addedly installs the gas generator and an air bag at the vacant room of both front pillars. And, a supporting ring is installed at both sides of the air mat.
