An input and display device for process parameters is provided to enable a user having no pre-knowledge to intuitively program a controller for an HVAC(Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) system without learning manuals, and avoid a complex color coordination process for frames and housings by efficiently inputting the process parameters to the HVAC system. A front unit forms the housing of the input/display device(1) and enables the user to input/read the process parameters. An input/display panel(2) makes the user view only the input/display panel in an operation state by being placed over entire front unit. A temperature sensor is installed to the housing to determine ambient temperature. The input/display panel includes a touch sensing element. The input/display panel displays diverse operator control levels used for inputting the process parameters through display/operator control panels.
