Provided is an aromatic polyester resin composition which is excellent in surface characteristics and heat resistance, is low in volatility and is useful for a headlamp bezel of automobiles. The aromatic polyester resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of polybutylene terephthalate; 20-80 parts by weight of polyethylene terephthalate which has a number average molecular weight of 10,000-20,000 and contains 0.4-0.8 wt% of diethylene glycol as a reaction by-product; 10-40 parts by weight of a talc having a particle size of 3-30 micrometers; and 0.1-2.0 parts by weight of a lubricant having a polar group. Preferably the lubricant having a polar group is a compound represented by the formula II, wherein x and y are an integer of 200-1,000.
