An image forming apparatus and a method for forming an image are provided to reduce a use deviation of each of a plurality of nozzles by varying a relative position of a print head and a print medium. In an image forming apparatus, a print head(50) includes a plurality of nozzles arranged in a width direction of a print medium. A moving unit(40) varies a relative position of the print medium and the print head. A control unit controls the moving unit to reduce a use deviation of the plurality of nozzles.
