A coolant water pipe (2) made from e.g. copper extends through a bore in the length direction of the welding arm (1) and a ring seal or packing inside a cylindrical chamber in the electrode holder (4) ensures a hermetic seal between the water pipe in the welding arm and the water pipe (6) in the holder.
