A short message transmission method and a mobile communication terminal for realizing the method are provided to sense a user's body temperature or grasping power when transmitting a short message to a pre-designated number according to the sensed temperature or grasping power. A user's body temperature is sensed(S410). It is confirmed whether information identical with the measured body temperature exists in preset body temperature information(S420). If so, a short message designated for the corresponding body temperature information is transmitted to a telephone number designated for the corresponding body temperature information(S430).
