A printer I/O(Input/Output) device is provided to eliminate needs for installing an input part connection port or an input part activation driver to a printer by selectively inputting/outputting information to a selection input part or a display part of the printer with a mouse or a keyboard connected to a host computer. The monitor(40) is connected to the host computer(20). The input part(30) inputs the information to the host computer. The host computer includes a printer driver(22) activating the printer and transmitting the inputted information to the printer, and a host controller(24) making the printer driver output the inputted information to the monitor in case of the first mode and output the inputted information to the printer(10) in the case of the second mode. The printer includes an interface(18) receiving the inputted information from the host computer, a printer controller(12) outputting the inputted information received in the interface to the display part(16) in the case of the second mode, a driving part(19) selectively performing multiple functions, and a selection input part(14) enabling a user to select one function by displaying the functions of the driving part to the display part.
