A method and an apparatus for storing person-classified call information in a mobile communication terminal are provided to be conveniently used when a user detects call information such as the entire call time with a specific object selected by the user and the number of message transmission/reception by retrieving phone number information of the object and updating the call information in a phone number of the object when call is finished or a message is transmitted/received. An RF(Radio Frequency) transmitting/receiving unit(115) includes a modulator, a demodulator, a transmitting amplifier, and a receiving amplifier to transmit and receive signals with a base station by wireless. A display unit(109) outputs various display data and text messages generated in a mobile terminal. A storing unit(112) includes a memory element for storing a plurality of programs and data, and stores person-classified call information. An audio converting unit(118) amplifies a voice signal inputted through a microphone, and converts the amplified voice signal into a digital signal. The audio converting unit(118) converts voice data received from the outside into an analog signal, and outputs the analog signal to a speaker. A key input unit(106) has a plurality of number/character input keys, function keys for providing an interface with a user, and a call key. If a specific person is selected and the retrieval of call information about the selected specific person is requested from a user, a control unit(103) retrieves the call information, stores the retrieved call information in a database, and displays the call information on a screen.
