A semiconductor memory device and a data output method thereof are provided to reduce total power consumption by reducing power consumption for controlling circuit configuration by performing data output within one clock regardless of BL(Burst Length). A column decoder(100) outputs a column selection signal capable of outputting data as much as burst length. A memory cell region(200) comprises at least one bank, and comprises a plurality of signal line sets to output data sets as many as the burst length at the same time according to the column selection signal to each bank. A data output unit(300) stores the data sets and then outputs the data sets in sequence. The column decoder outputs the column selection signal as many as the burst length at the same time.
