<p>A method for performing handover in a mobile IP environment is provided to reduce complexity by simplifying a complex message exchange process, and control an assignment time of an NCoA, previously generated and assigned, and a tunneling time of a packet, transmitted to a PCoA, to the NCoA by predicting the movement of a mobile node. A method for performing handover in a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) environment comprises the followings: making a mobile terminal(160) provide a NCoA(New Care of Address) assigning method to a second access router(120), and making the second access router(120) previously ensuring a CoA according to the assigning method; making the mobile terminal(160) notify a first access router(110) that the mobile terminal(160) has moved, after completing handover at a layer 2 to a subnet that the second access router(120) manages(S307,S309); and making the mobile terminal(160) assigned the NCoA that the second access router(120) has ensured in the above first step, and making the first access router(110) start tunneling of a packet, transmitted to a PCoA(Previous CoA), to the NCoA and then perform normal binding update of a mobile IP(S314).</p> |
