METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MOVIE TICKET RESERVATION SERVICE BY USING LOCATION BASED SERVICE

A method and a system for offering a movie ticket reservation service by using an LBS(Location-Based Service) are provided to enable a user to list up movies by using movie ranking, user taste analysis, and menu configuration preferentially offering reservation information of the closest movie theater to the user in connection with an LBS system. A mobile terminal(110) requests the movie reservation information by connecting to the mobile network(120) and users the movie reservation service by receiving the movie reservation information. A VXML(Voice eXtensible Markup Language) gateway(130) transmits the movie reservation information to the mobile terminal in a voice type. A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway(132) transmits the movie reservation information to the mobile terminal in a text type. A voice/Internet reservation server(140/142) forms the menu fit for the user by searching the movie reservation information, and transmits the menu to the mobile terminal through the VXML or WAP gateway. An LBS server(150) measures and transmits user location information to the voice/Internet reservation server.
