AIR CONDITIONER AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to appropriately maintain a compression ratio of a compressor using temperatures of an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger. An air conditioner includes a compressor(10), temperature sensors(22,24), fans(34,36), and a controller(30). The temperature sensors detect temperatures of an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger, respectively. The fans are disposed at the indoor heat exchanger and the outdoor heat exchanger. The controller calculates a compression ratio of a condensation pressure and an evaporation pressure on the basis of temperatures of the indoor heat exchanger and the outdoor heat exchanger, and controls a speed of the fans and an operation frequency of the compressor.
