METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MEDIA ACCESS IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

A method for controlling media access in a wireless sensor network is provided to avoid interference between adjacent nodes by using a TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) and a CSMA/CA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance) manner. A first communication process executes a communication operation between sensor nodes positioned in a non-overlapping region of clusters and a CH(Cluster Head) in a first section by accessing media in a TDMA manner. A second communication process executes a communication operation between sensor nodes positioned in an overlapping region of clusters and the CH by accessing the media in a competition-based CSMA/CA manner.
