Provided are a processing aid for a poly(vinyl chloride) resin which reduces the processing time of a poly(vinyl chloride) resin and improves workability, and its preparation method. The processing aid comprises a methyl methacrylate-based polymer fine particle; and 5-900 parts by weight of an internal lubricant for a poly(vinyl chloride) resin which is contained in the methyl methacrylate-based polymer fine particle based on 100 parts by weight of the processing aid. Preferably the internal lubricant is at least one selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid ester-based derivative, a C10-C20 fatty acid-based derivative and its metal salt, a C6-C20 fatty acid alcohol and its metal salt, an ester compound of a polyol and a fatty acid, and a C10-C23 fatty acid amide derivative. Preferably the processing aid has a particle size of 100-1,500 nm and a molecular weight of 100,000-10,000,000. |
