Provided is a toner for image forming apparatus having stable antistatic property, durability, and OHP(overhead projector) transparency, which comprises a coloring agent having improved dispersion and moisture resistance. The toner comprises a binder resin, and a coloring agent added to the binder resin as an inner additive. The coloring agent has a surface layer comprising a hydrophobic surface treating agent having polarity. The surface treating agent has (-)polarity. The surface treating agent comprises lauryl sulfate. The surface layer is formed by mixing the coloring agent and the surface treating agent, milling the coloring agent by mechanical milling, and applying the surface treating agent on surface of the coloring agent.
