A method for controlling a USB(Universal Serial Bus) device connected to a mobile terminal through the Internet is provided to enable a user to control the USB device connected to the mobile terminal by connecting to the mobile terminal with a computer in a state that the USB device is connected to the mobile terminal. A service providing server receives mobile terminal information from the computer by receiving a USB device control service request from a subscriber(200b). The server requests a packet data serving node of a mobile communication system to allocate an IP(Internet Protocol) address by using the received mobile terminal information as a parameter(201). The server provides the computer with the IP address allocated to the mobile terminal(204). The computer receives USB device information and file information stored in the USB device from the mobile terminal by referring to the received IP address(207). The computer transmits a USB device control command corresponding to manipulation of the subscriber to the mobile terminal(208). The mobile terminal transfers the received USB device control command to the USB device(209).
