ENGINE SPEED SENSOR FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

An engine speed sensor for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the sensor are provided to improve the productivity and to remarkably reduce the manufacturing cost by manufacturing the engine speed sensor by a very simple process. An engine speed sensor includes a terminal member(111), a bobbin(112), and an over molding section(116). A protruding end to which an electronic device is mounted is provided in the terminal member. The bobbin is formed by plastic molding so as to accommodate the terminal member and a recess for locating the electronic device is provided in the bobbin. After the electronic device is located in the recess of the bobbin and is welded to the protruding end of the terminal member so that the over molding section is formed of a plastic. The over molding section includes a connector connected to the terminal member.
