A Chinese character input method in a mobile communication terminal is provided to display a Chinese character table corresponding to Korean character inputted just before selection when a Chinese character conversion function is selected while the Korean character is inputted and convert the Korean character inputted before the Chinese character conversion function is selected into the selected Chinese character when the specific Chinese character is selected in the displayed Chinese character table. A mobile terminal confirms whether a Chinese character conversion function is selected while Korean Character is inputted(201). If the Chinese character conversion function is selected, the mobile terminal displays a Chinese character table corresponding to the Korean character just before the selection(203). The mobile terminal converts the Korean character inputted before the Chinese character conversion function is selected into a Chinese character selected in the displayed Chinese character table(205,207).
