An air conditioner is provided to add a function as a piece of furniture by attaching a work of art or photographs to a front surface of an indoor unit of the air conditioner. An air conditioner includes a front frame mounted with a base at a rear part, and a panel unit(200) mounted to a front surface of the front frame, wherein the base is formed with at least one or more outlets for discharging room air. The panel unit includes a front panel(210), a front cover(220), and a decoration panel. The front panel is mounted to a front surface of the front frame and opened at a side to form an inlet. The decoration panel is secured to a front surface of the front panel and attached with a picture or a photograph. The front cover is secured to a front surface of the decoration panel for protecting the picture or the photograph. At least one or more coupling elements(240) fix the front cover to the front panel, wherein the coupling elements are formed with holding protrusions(242) for preventing deviation thereof from the front cover. |
