THE PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance surface discharge characteristics and opposing discharge characteristics by improving a structure of a front panel thereof. A plasma display panel includes a plurality of scan electrodes(701), a plurality of sustain electrodes(703), a plurality of address electrodes, and an upper dielectric layer(707). The scan electrodes, the sustain electrodes, and the address electrodes are formed on a glass(700). The upper dielectric layer has differential thickness in order to cover the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes. The thickness of the upper dielectric layer is increased gradually from a discharge region between the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes.
