An air conditioner is provided to simply structure of a subcooler by simply attaching an electronic cooler, a temperature sensor, and a bimetal switch to a pipe and connecting wires, and separately control a subcooling degree separately from a refrigerating cycle. An air conditioner includes an electronic cooler(25) for increasing subcooling degree of condensed refrigerant, which is transmitted from a condenser(12) to an evaporator of an indoor unit, wherein the electronic cooler is mounted to a connection pipe of an outdoor unit. A temperature sensor(26) detects a temperature of the condensed refrigerant. A bimetal element turns on/off the electronic cooler according to the detected temperature of the condensed refrigerant.
