A frequency extraction apparatus and a signal extraction system using the same are provided to extract a frequency component of desired band and amplitude accurately by using a FP LD(Fabry-Perot Laser Diode). In a frequency extraction apparatus, a circulator(22,26) changes an output direction of an inputted signal. A frequency selection unit(23,27) extracts a desired frequency component of an input signal transferred from the rotation unit, and then transfers the extracted frequency component to the rotation unit. A control unit(24,28) provides a control signal to change a wavelength and amplitude of the frequency of an output mode of a frequency control unit(25,29). The frequency control unit controls the frequency wavelength of the output mode according to the control signal from the control unit in order to coincide with the frequency transferred through the rotation unit, and controls the amplitude of the corresponding frequency component, and then outputs the frequency through the rotation unit.
